- Assist with website and blog migrations
- Ensure content is organized, accurate, and aligned across all brands
- Coordinate updates with developers as needed
- Assist with writing and editing blogs, website copy, email campaigns, and other marketing materials
- Help maintain a consistent voice and tone across all brands
- Create fresh content (photos, videos, graphics, UGC) and schedule posts across platforms
- Help manage and grow engagement with award winners, authors, and followers
- Monitor comments, messages, and interactions
- Use tools like SEMrush to identify content opportunities
- Assist with keyword research and basic on-page SEO improvements
- Support implementation of SEO recommendations
- Strong writing and editing skills (this is a must)
- Enjoys content creation and building communities on social media
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Creative, flexible, and collaborative
- Comfortable taking direction and following through on tasks
- Comfortable working remotely and managing multiple projects
- Minimum of 2 years of marketing experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing (or related field)
- Experience working in Asana or a similar project management system
- Familiarity with WordPress or a similar CMS
- Experience with SEO or tools like SEMrush is a plus, but not required
- Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of operations
- Flexibility to take on other duties as assigned
Location: Traverse City, MI (Hybrid/Remote)
Job Type: Freelance (10 to 20 hours/week)
Compensation: $25-28 per hour

Jenkins Group is seeking a Content Marketing Assistant to support our Marketing Director with ongoing marketing initiatives and day-to-day tasks across six publishing brands, including Jenkins Group and five major book award programs.
