What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and understand various contracts, including provider, workers compensation, and managed care agreements
- Develop and implement contract ranking and tracking systems
- Prepare contract summaries, payor notices, and updates while troubleshooting contract issues
- Facilitate communication between employer groups, third-party administrators, and office staff
- Maintain complex spreadsheets of financial and reimbursement data for management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in the healthcare, insurance, legal, or managed care industries
- Working knowledge of contracts and experience in contracting, claims processing, or coding
- Proficient in all Microsoft programs; database experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle difficult situations professionally
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience working in a provider office, clinic, legal, or insurance organization
- Ability to make routine decisions in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
