      About the role

Our NSW business is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Westconnex commercial team.

In your role as a Contracts Manager, your primary responsibility will be overseeing the management of contracts and ensuring compliance with the operations and maintenance (O&M) of WestConnex within Transurban's NSW Business.

WestConnex is responsible for the M4 Motorway, M8 Motorway, M4-M8 Link Motorway, M5 East Motorway and from the end of 2023 Rozelle Interchange, therefore in this role you will manage the agreements for these assets.

      Day-to-day, you will:

      • Manage the day-to-day commercial, compliance and contractual elements of Transurban’s major agreements with Transport for NSW

      • Assist with managing relationships with key State stakeholders

      • Support the broader operations and maintenance team through delivering projects through design, technical review, procurement, construction delivery to reduce WestConnex’s commercial risk and provide support as required

      • Prepare all contractual documentation and facilitate contract management including through reporting, risk management and obligation tracking

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

      • Great communication and interpersonal skills – ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels

      • Previous experience managing and administering multi-million dollar strategic contracts, preferably in infrastructure or similar heavy industries

      • Sound comprehension of contractual agreements and key business factors

      • Demonstrates a proactive approach and a propensity for taking initiative

      • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence to achieve favourable commercial results

      • Strong attention to detail with the ability to problem solve

If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.

With a career at Transurban, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits, including:

      • A range of flexible working and leave options, including the option to purchase an additional six weeks of leave each year

      • 16 weeks paid parental leave (regardless of gender or carer status), with no waiting period, with Superannuation paid during unpaid leave as well

      • Learning and development opportunities to support your career interests

      • Health and wellbeing support—access to Headspace and our EAP program, wellness facilities, and more

      • Share offers and insurance benefits

      • Social activities, community give-back programs and paid volunteer days

We offer a range of flexible working and leave options, so you can balance your work and life commitments and interests. Have a conversation with us about how this could work for you.

We embrace diversity with a foundation of safety, wellbeing and inclusion; where everyone belongs. We treat everyone with fairness, consideration and respect, regardless of gender, gender identity, marital or family status, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, religious beliefs, cultural or socio-economic background, perspective, and experience – whether they work for us or not. We want to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe to express ideas, questions and concerns.
