What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and coordinate innovative curriculum and instructional initiatives at selected magnet schools
- Provide job-embedded professional learning to improve curriculum quality and instructional practices
- Support implementation of themed curricula and instructional strategies tailored to student needs
- Monitor progress toward goals in conjunction with the MSAP Project Director
- Foster collaboration within the magnet school community to enhance teaching and learning
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- Five years of K-12 teaching experience and/or curriculum writing and implementation
- Experience in planning and delivering professional training to adult learners
- Must hold or be eligible for a North Carolina professional educator's license in Elementary or Secondary Education
- Extensive knowledge of K-12 standards and researched-based instructional strategies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's Degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or Educational Leadership
- Education or professional development in curriculum design, writing, and implementation
- Knowledge of design/inquiry/systems thinking and/or STEM-related pedagogies
