      PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
      As a Coordinator Crew Resources you will work with Trainmen, Switchmen, Engineers, and Yardmasters to ensure they are given appropriate work assignments while ensuring timely and cost-effective deployment of crews to meet operational requirements.

      POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

      • This position will provide training on how to call train and engine crews to work in accordance with collective bargaining agreement
      • Process reports and maintain computerized crew board through documentation of seniority moves, vacancies, personal leave, vacations, etc
      • This position is not a typical 40 hour-a-week opportunity. The position must be available for call 24 hours per day and able to work irregular hours, including holidays and weekends

      POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

      • Prior railroad experience is not required we offer a paid training program
      • Must possess High school Diploma or GED equivalate
      • Knowledge of computer programs and software (Microsoft Office) and able to meet keyboarding standards established by the organization
      • Clear verbal and written communication skills with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to details and manage time efficiently

      Management Conductor Program:

      Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
