      Description

We don't just file motions-we fight for people's futures. If you're a rock-solid litigation paralegal who thrives in high-stakes criminal defense, keeps calm under fire, and believes grit, poise, and compassion are more than buzzwords, keep reading.

Cowboy Country Law is on the hunt for a seasoned, battle-ready Criminal Defense Paralegal who's ready to dive deep, move fast, and never back down. If you've got courtroom chops, know how to run a criminal case from start to finish, and can manage case chaos like a pro-even from your kitchen table-this might be your next great ride.

Whether you're based in Wyoming or working remotely from the lower 48, if you're hungry to make a real impact in people's lives, this isn't just another job. It's a mission.

      Responsibilities

This isn't your average desk job. You'll be side-by-side with attorneys (virtually or literally) moving mountains for clients whose freedom is on the line. You'll juggle deadlines, documents, court chaos, and courtroom prep-because when clients need backup, we show up hard.

      Here's what you'll wrangle:
      • Gather and review evidence, spot what matters, and flag what doesn't.
      • Draft and review motions, discovery, subpoenas, and legal filings that hit hard and read clean.
      • Coordinate and communicate like a boss-with clients, courts, counsel, and experts.
      • Own the litigation calendar-no missed hearings, no dropped deadlines.
      • Prep for trial like you're going to war: organized, strategic, and bulletproof.
      • Keep case files airtight in our case management system-status updates, documentation, and all.

      Qualifications

You've been in the trenches. You've worked hard on cases. You know the criminal system isn't for the faint of heart, and you wouldn't have it any other way.

      Must-Haves:
      • 5+ years of litigation experience (criminal preferred)
      • Confident in your ability to manage cases independently
      • Skilled in drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and prepping for trial
      • Strong command of the Wyoming Rules of Criminal Procedure (or the chops to learn them fast)
      • Killer attention to detail and a love for closing loops
      • Self-starter with relentless follow-through-no babysitting required
      • Fluent in tech: calendars, docs, and legal software
      • Curious, courageous, and coachable-we're a learning-obsessed firm
  • About the company
