What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Handle incoming calls to address member eligibility, prescription benefits, and claim payment issues
- Assist patients with billing updates, payment plans, and scheduling needs
- Provide quality customer service and ensure satisfaction through effective communication
- Research and resolve inquiries from members or patients
- Maintain accurate records and document interactions with customers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum of two years of customer service experience
- Previous data entry experience is necessary
- Health care experience is strongly preferred
- Must be located within one hour of either Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital or Sentara Rockingham Hospital
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare-related customer service role
- Familiarity with prescription benefits and insurance claims processing
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex inquiries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
