What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process order documentation, ensuring compliance with Canadian and US Customs requirements
- Report on shipment status, ensuring all measurement standards are met
- Research and assess CBSA requirements for customs entries
- Evaluate government agency compliance requirements and integrate changes into operations
- Review and coordinate corrections for existing Tariff Classifications
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience handling import trafficking functions with a freight forwarder/broker
- Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in customer service duties
- Strong communication and organization skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a team and leadership capabilities are strongly desired
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Four-year BS/BA degree
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) - Compliance diploma
- Familiarity with various computer programs
