What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Act as the primary escalation point for Cyber Security Analyst I technicians and provide coaching
- Monitor computer networks for security issues and respond accordingly, including managing firewall rules and anti-virus tools
- Investigate, document, and assess security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents
- Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure
- Develop best practices for IT security and stay updated on industry trends
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a security analyst role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC)
- Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of network management principles and systems administration of Windows and Linux operating systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional certifications in security-related disciplines (e.g., Security+, CEH, CISSP)
- Working knowledge of Palo Alto or Fortinet firewalls, Microsoft Azure, or similar technologies
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities effectively
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
