      Job Description:

      This job will lead the enterprise integration of sustainability into core business processes across Mars Snacking to ensure all relevant business processes are accountable for delivering ESG value, facilitating business transformation, and embedding non-financial data where applicable to drive sustainability goals and imperatives.

      This role will provide insights and thought leadership on sustainability operating model inputs and will drive enterprise-wide collaboration to reimagine core business processes with positive societal and environmental impacts in mind, including GHG emissions, circular packaging, human rights and livelihoods.

      The scope of the business process redesign includes, but is not limited to:

      • Data and systems needed to integrate and analyze social and environmental impacts
      • Interrogation of existing processes for ESG value creation interdependencies
      • Definition of sustainability success criteria and future state sustainability needs for multiple business processes
      • Identification of gaps and opportunities while understanding implications to existing business processes and hierarchies
      • Process and decision-making to ensure social and environmental impacts are fully integrated and regulatory requirements have been accounted for
      • Considerations and best practices on how to position and embed sustainability to strengthen capabilities and governance, translate goals into clear process requirements, and reduce risks (e.g., implications of delayed data)
      • Bespoke capability building of different associates to deliver their responsibilities related to sustainability across a wide range of business processes (Insight to Plan, Ideate to Scale, Plan to Deliver, Engage to Consume, Digital Discover to Scale, Attract to Belong)

      Education & Professional Qualifications

      • Bachelors' degree minimum
      • MBA a plus

      Knowledge / Experience

      • Experience in defining and operationalizing future-back vision
      • Experience integrating sustainability into business processes
      • Adept at understanding and shaping business data and systems
      • Experienced at building networked teams of direct reports, external consultants, and collaborators across a diverse, global enterprise
      • Experience and comfort working in a matrixed organization, ideally in a large multi-national setting
      • Adept at leading through influence, collaborating, and managing conflicting needs across diverse stakeholders
      • High familiarity with Mars Snacking’s current high-level business processes or enterprise process awareness from previous experience
      • Experience working with and influencing senior leadership with clear and compelling communications that simply summarize complex situations and cut through to root cause problems to propose solutions

      What will be your key responsibilities?

      Vision Creation - Design a future-back vision of how to fully integrate ESG goals into business processes, business priorities, and social and environmental impacts into the necessary data, analytics, reporting, and decision-making processes, translating strategy into operational goals

      Plan Creation - Build and sequence a prioritized plan to embed sustainability within and across the 6 megaprocesses of D30, influencing and informing adjacent plans and roadmaps to drive alignment, adoption, and engagement around sustainability-related needs.

      E2E Process Transformation - Analyze priority processes to capture pain points, challenges, sustainability gaps, and future needs, defining and aligning on process improvements with process GXOs and design leads to drive adoption.

      Organization Design - In partnership with the wider D30 community, scope and drive the creation of an appropriate ecosystem of associates, consultants, collaborative partners, and regional/local champions to integrate sustainability into D30 design and deployment, guided by a comprehensive, vetted RACI that accounts for operating model and archetype needs.

      Simply Brilliant - Play a leading role in deployment of Simply Brilliant processes and initiatives to ensure source data, systems, and processes fully integrate our prioritized sustainability impacts into sourcing strategies, supplier partnering, performance measurement and more.

      Capability Building - Thinking 2030 back, develop a Mars Snacking training and capability program, in collaboration with other segments and Corporate, to stepchange organizational sustainability expertise and drive role-specific upskilling on sustainability data sources and job responsibilities at a granular (L3 and L4) process level.

      Progress Evaluation & Learning - Develop success criteria and KPIs to understand the extent to which we are integrating sustainability into D30 and ensure we learn and adapt as we design and pilot new-to-industry business processes.

      Governance & Reporting - Engage the leadership of D30, sustainability, executive leadership and selected external partners on the journey, ensuring they can understand, actively sponsor, and champion progress

      Platform & Data - Collaborate with technology, legal, and finance stakeholders to: support Sustainability vision through data and platform enablement; ensure requirements are correctly translated and integrated into existing systems and initiatives; and establish governance around data ownership, quality, and maintenance.

      Continuous Improvement & Innovation - Stay informed on sustainability trends to inform strategic direction and establish methodology to drive towards leading practices across D30 processes
