What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Program and perform analyses on Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) data using SAS software
- Collaborate with medical officers and epidemiologists on VAERS analyses for studies, manuscripts, and reports
- Create automated tables for vaccine surveillance projects to be distributed and verified regularly
- Conduct data quality assurance activities, including development of data quality reports and resolution of anomalies
- Manage and perform analyses for non-VAERS ad hoc studies/projects, assisting with data entry and quality checks
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in data analysis and statistical programming
- Strong knowledge of descriptive statistics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel for database management and reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with scientific and technical staff
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple analytical deliverables on recurring schedules
