What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze and report on clinical and operational data from various healthcare systems and data sources
- Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to design and implement ad-hoc reports and analytics
- Automate manual reporting and develop novel reports using Microsoft BI tools
- Conduct extensive data mining to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Maintain the security and privacy of sensitive healthcare information
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program in business, information technology, computer science/data science, statistics, mathematics, health sciences, or a related field
- Sustained excellence in academic performance
- Academic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and exposure to relational databases (SQL)
- Strong understanding of healthcare data interpretation and analysis preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with healthcare terminology and health plan organizations
- Experience with the Microsoft BI stack, including SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, and Power BI
- Exposure to Python and machine learning libraries
- Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with executives
- Demonstrated curiosity and passion for transforming data into actionable insights
