What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Enter and process medication orders into the pharmacy operating system
- Sort and triage incoming medication orders according to delivery deadlines
- Process all new medication orders, including controlled medications and leave of absence orders
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines, state and federal laws, and company policies
- Work scheduled shifts, including every other weekend and four holidays per year
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Massachusetts
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification
- At least 1 year of pharmacy data entry experience
- Knowledge of brand/generic medications and Sig codes
- Intermediate to advanced computer and typing skills, including Microsoft Office applications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy
- Familiarity with Framework or Docutrack
