      Data Governance Manager

      Salary: National Circa £45,000 London: Circa £55000

      Join us in an exciting role as a Data Governance Manager with Aviva's Commercial Data Insights team!

      A bit about the job:

      This role is responsible for the identification, monitoring, and management of potential risks derived from the storage, analysis, and processing of data.

      You will be responsible for the mechanism for measuring data accuracy and ensure data accuracy within the CL and Distribution Data Insights team.

      You will support the interpretation of regulatory demands into the team and collaborate with various teams including Data Insights, UKGI Risk and Governance, GCS, SME & Distribution, Quantum, and other Aviva BI teams.

      Additionally, you'll have the chance to work on innovative AI and ML projects, making a significant impact on our data strategies.

      Skills and experience we’re looking for:

      • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing new Data Governance capabilities including Data Standards, Governance Processes, Data Quality KPIs.

      • Experience drafting policies, procedures, processes, data catalogues, and glossaries.

      • Script writing expertise with SQL or equivalent, understanding of database design and data transformation supported by ETL processes, and experience with dashboarding and analytics reporting using Qlik, Power BI, Tableau or other related tools and technologies – desirable.

      • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with business domain experts and stakeholders at all levels to explain data to non-technical people, influence, debate, facilitate decisions, and deliver targeted outcomes.

      • Highly analytical with good attention to detail and problem-solving attitude.

      • Salary: National Circa £45,000, London Circa £55000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)

      • Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
