Job Description:
This job is responsible for driving accurate, complete, and timely delivery of data. Key responsibilities include working with business stakeholders and technology teams to direct commercial banking data management activities and ensure availability for use by appropriate consumers. Job expectations include managing execution within the enterprise data management standards, data quality, and control practices.Responsibilities:
This Regulatory Data Governance & Controls Manager role will be a member of the Regulatory Data team within Enterprise Credit Analytics & Transformation Strategy. The Regulatory Data team provides subject matter expertise, manages data capture and sourcing and provides data for critical U.S. and international regulatory reporting for wholesale credit including FR Y-14Q Schedule H, Shared National Credit, OSFI 988, AnaCredit and HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act).
This role will collaborate closely with enterprise credit teams, reporting production teams, data owners, finance/risk reporting teams, and the CFO Group to oversee adherence to enterprise policies and standards, design and maintain documentation for regulatory reporting data provisioning, execute initiatives to improve data quality and operational excellence, and provide subject matter expertise on regulatory data requirements.
• Creates/maintains appropriate documentation/evidence to support policy adherence and control framework
• Ensure continuing compliance with applicable policies and standards (e.g. Regulatory Reporting, Data Management, Process Management, Global Records Management)
• Manages and maintains SPI/POP requirements, evidence and deliverables
• Collaborates with production teams on process design, documentation and controls evidence
• Supports comprehensive audits, testing initiatives, and data quality reviews
• Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans for resolution, including recommendations so that relevant risk and compliance policies and standards are met
• Works with Line of Business partners, including Credit and Operations teams, Compliance, Audit, and Risk to understand needs and produce data solutions, often in partnership with Technology
• Analyzes emerging needs for data to address risk, regulatory, or business enablement priorities and appropriately plans for interim and target state solutions within data management policies
• Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls in accordance with established thresholds, standards, and policies
Required Qualifications/Skills:
• Expertise in process design, documentation, and process controls
• Experience with/knowledge of the SPI/POP process
• Familiarity with Bank’s wholesale credit products, processes, and systems
• Technical skills w/ MS Office (Word, PPT) and Visio
• Data Governance: Proficiency in enterprise policies and standards
• Data Management
• Project Management: excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to influence decisions to achieve desired results
• Proven leader within highly-matrixed organizations
• Ability to navigate the enterprise to research and resource information across the bank
