  Your Impact as An Operations Specialist- Defined Contribution Daily Valuation

  The Operations Specialist is responsible for processing activities related the daily valuation of client Defined Contribution plans as set up in Alight's proprietary system, while meeting and exceeding client Service Level Agreements.
  

  Shift hours: 1:00 p.m.- 9:30 p.m. CST
  **Please note: Working late (possibly past shift hours) to finish client work will be required to meet daily client deliverables .

  US Citizenship requirements- as this role supports services provided to the federal government and/or a federal government contractor, proof will be required to verify US citizenship status at time of hire.
  

  Job Responsibilities

  • Execution of daily valuation processing activities and trade communications.

  • Confirmation and processing of fund events including dividends, and capital gains.

  • Demonstrates sound understanding of provisions by asking questions and responding to client needs in a timely fashion

  • Ensures knowledge of client provisions and supporting documentation is current and updated

  • Follows all predefined procedures, adheres to all the process guidelines, and ensures that performance parameters are met and/ or exceeded against SLA (Service Level Agreement) targets

  • Research of complex issues and formulates resolutions by analyzing information and applying provisions and processing procedures, escalating as appropriate

  • Communicates effectively with client contacts and external business partners to answer questions and inquiries related to daily delivery

  • Executes complex tasks while ensuring on-time and accurate delivery of all tasks to respond to client needs as per SLAs

  • Delivers on new/ad-hoc tasks in order to meet client/ internal goals promptly

  • Collaborates with colleagues across the company

  • Coaches & trains new colleagues on client requirements when appropriate

  • Creates/ updates Standard Operating Procedures where and when required

  • Identifies process improvements to support our culture of continuous improvement

  • Leverages resources on the team to generate results

  • Ability to both learn and thrive in a virtual team environment

  Knowledge and Expertise

  • Strong research, computation, and analysis skills

  • Intermediate understanding of client administrative environment is desirable

  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with stakeholders

  • Strong attention to detail to provide a high-quality work product

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS applications like Excel, Word

  • Working knowledge of investments and previous benefits knowledge a plus

  Education

  Bachelor’s degree in a business or computer sciences field and/or 2+ year’s related work experience preferred

  Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $35,600.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $73,600.00/year (for full-time employees).
