What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Set up clinical units and maintain endodontic specialty equipment
- Greet and seat patients, adjusting chairs and preparing them for the dentist
- Assist faculty and Dental Assistants 2 in various fundamental four-handed techniques
- Instruct patients in home care and prepare temporary treatment materials
- Clean and maintain dental chairs and equipment, and assist with inventory management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Completion of a training program for dental assistants; current certification as a dental assistant (CDA) or ability to obtain within six months
- Six months of dental assistant experience or equivalent education/experience
- Registration with the State of Washington as a Dental Assistant
- Ability to perform basic dental assisting duties under supervision
- Strong communication and patient care skills
