What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Independently operate radiology equipment to capture a full range of digital intraoral and extraoral radiographs, including CBCT scans
- Assist dental students and faculty in clinical settings, providing guidance and feedback on patient management and radiographic techniques
- Conduct sterilization cycles and maintain infection control protocols for dental instruments
- Monitor and manage dispensary supplies, ensuring availability of necessary materials for student use
- Participate in quality control testing and equipment maintenance to ensure operational efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant training program; current certification as a dental assistant (CDA) or ability to obtain within six months
- Minimum of two years of experience as a dental assistant; one additional year of experience may substitute for required education
- Registration with the State of Washington as a Dental Assistant
- Proven ability to operate dental radiography equipment and perform quality control checks
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, faculty, and patients

- Experience in a clinical dental setting, particularly in an educational environment
- Familiarity with dental management software and sterilization protocols
- Knowledge of current health and safety regulations in dental practice
- Ability to provide effective feedback and coaching to dental students during patient care
