What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide chairside assistance during dental treatment procedures in the assigned department
- Support the dental team in performing various clinical tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with patient management and comfort during dental procedures
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure patient safety
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Relevant coursework or specialized training in dentistry or equivalent
- Minimum of six months post-high school education or experience related to dentistry
- Certification as a dental assistant or ability to obtain certification within one year of hire
- Knowledge of dental terminology
- Less than 1 year of experience in a dental setting
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Graduation from an accredited dental assistant program
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize duties
- Knowledge of infection control practices
