      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Lead report teams to produce complex legislative and custom ad-hoc reports with high visibility
      - Review and approve staff recommendations related to FOIA requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance
      - Conduct research and draft documentation to support FOIA requests and report submissions
      - Acquire and maintain extensive knowledge of MDOC datasets and related administrative rules
      - Collaborate with various teams in the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of reports

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
      - Minimum of two years of experience developing queries from multiple tables and analyzing data
      - For Departmental Analyst 10, one year of professional experience is required
      - For Departmental Analyst P11, two years of professional experience, including one year at the intermediate level in state service
      - For Departmental Analyst 12, three years of professional experience, including one year at the experienced level in state service

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience writing SQL and managing a library of scheduled queries
      - Familiarity with MDOC offender data systems (e.g., OMNI, OMS, COMS)
      - Previous participation in the Return to Work program
      - Knowledge of administrative rules and laws that govern data reporting
      - Experience in a government or corrections environment
