      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct research and analysis on medical and legal evidence for the Third Party Liability (TPL) Estate Recovery program
      - Prepare reports and correspondence to seek reimbursement of Medicaid expenditures
      - Design and maintain computer-based data collections related to Estate Recovery and Specialty Liability recoveries
      - Consult and coordinate the DHHS Estate Recovery program with multiple State and Federal agencies
      - Develop and assist in the creation of unit protocols, reporting mechanisms, and compliance measurements

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
      - For Departmental Analyst 10: One year of professional experience
      - For Departmental Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience, including one year at the intermediate (10) level in state service
      - For Departmental Analyst 12: Three years of professional experience, including one year at the experienced (P11) level in state service
      - Successful completion of a background investigation and a criminal records check

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with the Estate Recovery Program in Michigan
      - Knowledge of Medicaid processes and procedures
      - Familiarity with probate courts and drafting court documents
      - Experience conducting asset research and working with external stakeholders
      - Strong cooperative skills in team settings
