What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the payroll monitor and coordinator for the Integrated Test process
- Organize testing requests for multiple departments and ensure compliance with testing requirements
- Provide solutions for payroll accounting and system-related issues
- Assist in maintaining the integrity of the production environment and accuracy of payroll
- Act as the Agency Payroll Liaison, addressing payroll expense and tax interpretation matters
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
- Minimum of one year of professional experience for Departmental Analyst 10 level
- Two years of professional experience for Departmental Analyst P11 level, including one year at the intermediate level in state service
- Three years of professional experience for Departmental Analyst 12 level, including one year at the experienced level in state service
- Experience is considered professional if the job required a bachelor's degree
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in payroll processing and analysis, tax law, and regulation analysis
- Familiarity with system testing and accounting practices
- Previous work experience in a government or state agency setting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Military experience equivalent to at least two years of active-duty service at the E-6 level
