What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a legal analyst for the Discipline Resolution Section within the Legal Division
- Conduct compliance conferences and recommend disciplinary sanctions for licensed marijuana businesses
- Analyze legislation and legal matters related to the Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act and other relevant laws
- Actively manage a caseload of administrative cases to ensure timely processing
- Collaborate with other divisions to uphold state regulations and standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
- One year of professional experience for Departmental Analyst 10 level
- Two years of professional experience, including one year at the intermediate level, for Departmental Analyst P11 level
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to policy and priority changes in a fast-paced environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Law degree or Juris Doctorate is preferred
- Experience in regulatory compliance or legal analysis
- Previous work experience within governmental or regulatory agencies
- Familiarity with marijuana laws and regulations
- Military service experience at or above the E-6 level can substitute for education requirements
