What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the Tobacco Tax and Miscellaneous Taxes and Fees units within the Treasury's Special Taxes Division
- Analyze data and create custom queries to derive insights for operational improvements
- Collaborate with a team to address unique challenges and enhance customer experiences
- Communicate complex information clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in problem-solving initiatives to improve processes and service delivery
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in any major
- Minimum of one year of professional experience for Departmental Analyst 10, two years for Departmental Analyst P11, and three years for Departmental Analyst 12
- Ability to work onsite in Michigan on designated days
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in data analysis and problem-solving
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in project planning and oversight
- Background in drafting forms, instructions, and training materials
- Familiarity with troubleshooting technical system issues
- Prior experience in communicating project updates with stakeholders
- Military service at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services
