What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and coordinate statewide appeals related to Medicaid recoveries and nursing home determinations
- Conduct clinical assessment reviews for nursing home admissions for individuals with mental illness and developmental disabilities
- Provide training and support for Community Mental Health Service Program staff and other agencies on the Pre-admission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) process
- Attend meetings and develop reports to support administration and respond to inquiries
- Participate in the annual Mental Health and Aging Conference and coordinate relevant trainings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
- At least four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level
- Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and/or developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of OBRA/PASARR regulations and processes
- Ability to work within Michigan, as remote work must be conducted in the state
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Professional experience in the behavioral health field
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to mental health and nursing home admissions
- Experience in providing training or conducting workshops
- Knowledge of the Medicaid system and its operational processes
- Previous involvement in community outreach or engagement efforts
