What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead and coordinate language access initiatives across various Treasury departments
- Serve as the primary liaison to the Inclusive Access network, providing technical assistance and guidance
- Develop and deliver training and resources to ensure compliance with language access policies
- Advise leadership on language-related initiatives and translation needs
- Monitor and report on the performance and impact of language access efforts
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
- Minimum of four years of professional experience, including two years at the experienced (P11) level or one year at the advanced (12) level
- Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining initiatives or programs
- Knowledge of language access requirements and their application within the State of Michigan
- Ability to compile, analyze, and report data effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience handling complaints related to interpretation or translation needs
- Familiarity with compliance requirements related to language access legislation
- Experience creating reports or dashboards that influence decision-making or program improvement
- Knowledge of best practices in language access coordination
- Experience working in a government or public service environment
