      We are accepting applications for a Deputy Director - Chief Human Resources Officer within the Office of Human Resources, headquartered at the James Rhodes State Office Tower, 30 East Broad Street, 11th floor, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

      What You'll Do:

      • Assists the Director and the Assistant Director, in defining agency goals & objectives & as the agency’s Chief Human Resources Officer.
      • Oversees and leads the Human Resources functions (e.g., Labor Relations, Human Capital Management, Payroll, DEI/EEO, Training & Development, and Risk Management/Workers Compensation).
      • Implement the strategies to support all the agency's operations, to include:
        • Hospital Services - Six Regional Psychiatric Hospitals (RPH); Statewide
        • Ohio Pharmacy Services
        • Recovery Services
      • Collaborates with Assistant Director to identify and monitor key performance indicators.
      • Collaborates with Hospital Services and RPH CEOs to identify and address site specific needs.
      • Attends legislative hearings & speaks for the Department in other hearings.
      • Communicate with state officials, legislators & other legislative staff, department directors, deputy directors, etc., in implementing policies & procedures of the department.
