- Assists the Director and the Assistant Director, in defining agency goals & objectives & as the agency’s Chief Human Resources Officer.
- Oversees and leads the Human Resources functions (e.g., Labor Relations, Human Capital Management, Payroll, DEI/EEO, Training & Development, and Risk Management/Workers Compensation).
- Implement the strategies to support all the agency's operations, to include:
- Hospital Services - Six Regional Psychiatric Hospitals (RPH); Statewide
- Ohio Pharmacy Services
- Recovery Services
- Collaborates with Assistant Director to identify and monitor key performance indicators.
- Collaborates with Hospital Services and RPH CEOs to identify and address site specific needs.
- Attends legislative hearings & speaks for the Department in other hearings.
- Communicate with state officials, legislators & other legislative staff, department directors, deputy directors, etc., in implementing policies & procedures of the department.
