      Quality control

      Perform regular line audits and monitor in process quality checks and ensure implementation as per the defined protocols. Support the in process quality team to execute their jobs effectively and resolve the issues. Review final inspection reports and approve. In case of any deviation decide on further actions and decide on accepting / rejecting the batch.

      Daily MDR analysis

      Receive rejection rates from the lines. Analyze the reasons for rejection and identify abnormal rejections. Coordinate with production and other concerned departments and take corrective action. Consolidate MDR analysis for the whole month and submit reports to quality manager.

      Monitoring quality / Non quality cost

      Receive in process rejection sheets from production on a daily basis, Analyze the rejection rate and approve it. Visit the lines where there are issues, understand issues; coordinate with the concerned departments to take corrective action. Prepare a non quality cost analysis report and submit to manager quality. Identify key high value components where the rejection rates are high and initiate corrective action. Monitor quality cost on a monthly basis and ensure within limits.

      Give inputs to the leader on calibration requirements and support him in calibrating the instruments / machines pertaining to the assigned lines

      ECN Implementation:

      Understand the ECN released b the technical team. Ensure timely implementation of ECN. Monitor that ECNs are implemented during the transition period by eliminating the old part and implementing the new part. Receive new / modified parts tested in the production. Monitor the rejections and prepare the validation report. Decide acceptance / rejection of validation reports. Send validation reports to technical team as and when made.

      Customer complaints handling :

      Receive complaints / products from customer. Check the products for defects. In case of defects replace the products immediately. Analyze the complaints and evaluate the validity and degree of complaint. In case of valid complaints, perform root cause analysis and eliminate the cause of complaint by taking corrective action. Provide complaint analysis report and expert guidance to the customer

      QMS / EMS / OHSAS implementation.

      Preparing and maintaining all QMS / EMS related records. Prepare corrective preventive action reports for all quality related issues and forward to the concerned departments. Conducting internal audits.

      Employee supervision and training:

      Monitor the performance of the subordinates, conduct periodic review meetings and give inputs to them. Identify training requirements and ensure suitable training. Offer on the job training and evaluate effectiveness. Conduct performance appraisals on an annual basis and recommend level of performance.

      SPECIFIC ISSUES:

      Engineer Quality should be able to analyze the problems, identify root cause and support in eliminating the problem. High level interaction would be required to coordinate with all cross functional teams. Also Required to have good product / process knowledge and capability to convincingly handle customer complaints.


      Qualifications

      Education :

      BE in Electrical / Mechanical

      Job Related Experience:

      Min 3 years experience in quality function in engineering / electrical industry.

      Business Understanding :

      General manufacturing processes in engineering industry

      Others (e.g. language skills, technical skills):

      Basic quality techniques like SPC, 7QC,

      Software application - Minitab

      Local Language /English
