      Key Responsibilities:
      • Production Planning and Management:
        Developing and implementing seed production plans for parent lines, selecting appropriate geographies and production models, and managing the entire seed production program.
      • Quality Control:
        Ensuring high quality parent seeds through proper field management, pest and disease control, and adherence to quality standards throughout the production process.
      • Resource Management:
        Managing resources such as land, inputs (fertilizers, pesticides), and labor to optimize production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
      • Team Leadership and Coordination:
        Leading and motivating a team of seed production organizers and growers, fostering collaboration, and providing guidance to achieve production targets.
      • Liaison and Communication:
        Maintaining effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including R&D teams, commercial teams, government authorities, and seed certification agencies.
      • Monitoring and Reporting:
        Monitoring crop growth, collecting data, and preparing reports on production progress and related activities.
      • Compliance:
        Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards related to seed production.
      Essential Skills and Qualifications:
      • Educational Background:
        A Master's degree in Agriculture, Plant Breeding, Seed Science, or a related field is often preferred.
      • Experience:
        Significant experience in seed production, particularly with parent seed maintenance and production of hybrid rice, is often required.
      • Technical Skills:
        Strong knowledge of seed production practices, including crop management, pest and disease control, and seed processing.
      • Leadership and Communication Skills:
        Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and effectively communicate production plans and progress.
      • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
        Ability to analyze data, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to ensure successful seed production.
      • Knowledge of Latest Trends:
        Staying updated with the latest advancements in seed production technology and varieties.
      • Soft Skills:
        Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
