What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the initial point of contact for guardianship inquiries, screening calls and email referrals
- Assess client needs and develop plans to meet those needs
- Monitor client funds and prepare annual court accounting reports
- Apply for and maintain public benefits eligibility for clients
- Conduct field visits to evaluate the guardianship needs and well-being of adults
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must have a valid Utah driver's license
- Minimum of four years of education or professional work experience related to the care of vulnerable adults, including elderly adults and individuals with disabilities or mental illnesses
- Experience in assessing physical, mental, social, or economic needs
- Ability to write comprehensive reports that are clear and concise
- Must pass a criminal background check
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with fiscal management and applying for federal and state benefits for vulnerable adults
- Familiarity with guardianship laws, regulations, and procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Prior experience in social services or related fields
- Certification from the National Guardianship Association
