Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Registered Mental Health/ Children's/Learning Disability Nurse to assist the ward manager & CNS in the provision of clinical leadership and to be a clinical role model to the team. To act on behalf of and deputise as directed by the ward manager & CNS in their absence and provide quality evidence-based nursing advice support and care for young people with mental health needs and their carers within a multidisciplinary setting.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work on one of the 3 Inpatient CAMHS wards located at Parkview Clinic in Moseley. It is an exciting time to be involved in service development, quality improvement and provision of compassionate leadership at Parkview Clinic.
The post holder will provide clinical and managerial nursing leadership at ward level and deputise for the ward manager and/or clinical nurse specialist.
The post holder is expected to work with a large nursing team and a multi-disciplinary team jointly planning, implementing and evaluating patient care; supporting them and their families through their admission pathway.
The post holder will be expected to mentor both students and their nursing team, carrying out appraisals and offering clinical supervision, and operationally line manage nursing team members.
