  At Beyond Clothing, we don’t just design apparel - we build mission-ready systems that stand up to the elements and push past the expected. As a Design & Product Development Assistant, you’ll support the end-to-end development process, helping bring new products from early concepts to finished prototypes. This role blends creativity with precision, offering a hands-on opportunity to learn the ins and outs of technical product creation.

  What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare fabrics and trims for in-house prototype sampling.
  • Operate specialized equipment including the laser cutter, heat press, and automated cutting table.
  • Organize and manage sample libraries, trim bins, and color standards.
  • Label and maintain in-house prototype samples and competitor reference garments.
  • Assist with in-house testing such as wash durability and seam tape performance.
  • Help prepare samples and documentation for fittings and internal reviews.
  • Take clear, accurate notes during fittings and team meetings.
  • Support designers with sketching, maintaining tech packs, and updating technical drawings.
  • Conduct research on trends, materials, and competitive product lines.
  • Assist in sourcing new materials and trims as needed.

  What You Bring:

  • 0–2 years of experience in apparel design, development, or a related field.
  • Associates of Bachelor's degree in Apparel or Fashion Design preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Familiarity with PLM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Understanding of performance fabrics, trims, and garment construction.
  • Basic knowledge of pattern making and the apparel development lifecycle.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.

  Pay Range: $24.00-$28.00 per hour plus bonus.
