Department: Development
Reports to: Associate Director of Development
Classification: Hourly, non-exempt, full-time with benefits
Hourly Rate: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, commensurate with relevant experience
This is an onsite, Boston-based position. Local candidates strongly preferred. No agencies, please.

Position Summary
The Development Assistant is a key member of the Development team that raises essential funds to support the Museum’s annual operating budget and strengthen the institutional endowment for the long term future.
The Development Assistant provides administrative support for the Development Office, focusing on several main objectives within the department which include: staffing the Chief Development Officer (CDO); aiding with meeting planning, preparation, calendaring, and logistics; drafting individualized and detailed acknowledgement letters, formatting proposals and reports; assisting with the ongoing work of the boards and committees; helping with mailings and Gala preparation; keeping appropriate records updated in the CRM and tracking credit lines; staffing phone and email lines, providing customer service, and fielding requests; staffing events; and managing mail.
