      Location: The Salvation Army St Petersburg Area Command, St Petersburg, FL 33701

      Position Type: Regular Full-Time at 40 hours/week, Onsite

      Pay Range: $20.50/hour

      About this opportunity:

      This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Development Coordinator. Additional duties include assisting with social media content for Facebook and Instagram, supporting volunteer recruitment and coordination, managing office tasks, preparing monthly reports, maintaining the donor database, processing donations and acknowledgment letters, and helping plan and execute special events for the department and Area Command.

      Key responsibilities:

      • Primary administrative support to the Development Department, maintains office supplies, creates routine documentation, and keeps departmental files organized and well maintained.
      • Distributes office mail and prioritizes items that need immediate attention.
      • Maintains the donor database and ensures acknowledgements are sent in a timely manner.
      • Compiles monthly reports and conducts research as necessary to resolve documentation issues and keep the department updated.

      What we are looking for in you:

      • Two years coursework from an accredited college or university, AND
      • Three years progressively responsible experience working in a general office with at least one year performing work characteristic of the assigned department, OR
      • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
      • Must be cleared by Local Law Enforcement, State of Florida Dept of Children and Families and FBI background screens.
      • Must possess valid Florida state driver’s license and acceptable driving record

      Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

      Manual dexterity. Ability to sit, walk, and stand on a frequent change basis in order to perform the duties of this position.

      Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
