      Job Purpose

      To manage and support with the identification, securing of and management of development opportunities, or phases of a development, in line with regional and business strategy .

      Key Accountabilities

      • Accountable for ensuring all activities within your role and those of your line reports follow our hierarchy, with ‘Keeping our people safe’ our first priority . Create and maintain a positive culture of health and safety to ensure a safe working environment. Ensure all activities are properly planned and carried out in line with the company’s health and safety policies and procedures. Any non-compliance, including allowing anyone to take risks that could affect their health and safety, may be investigated in line with our disciplinary policy.

      • To implement the regional strategy for the acquisition / development / disposal or transfer of schemes to the Investment Portfolio

      • To support with the identification of new development opportunities in line with the region business plan

      • To work with the asset management and planning team to identify opportunities

      • To manage the development of site(s) (or phase) to the agreed programme and business plan. This will include, but not be limited to:

      • Working alongside Planning to liaise with external bodies to achieve planning permission

      • Generation of development brief

      • To instigate, review and challenge design proposals, delivering compliance with business case and brief

      • Liaison with Construction team and monitoring of construction processes, checking for compliance with business case

      • Co-ordination of marketing, leasing and sale of scheme

      • To prepare, or assist in the preparation of, bids, acquisition packs for the presentation to Investment Committee for purchase approval

      • To develop and build effective relationships with key regional stakeholders

      • To manage the appraisals, valuations, budgets and cash flow processes for assigned developments in line with business authorisation levels and in partnership with Regional Finance

      • To manage multi-disciplined external project teams and work collaboratively with internal project team members

      • To buddy Graduates during period of rotation within the commercial discipline

      • To promote and live our Company values

      • Maintain knowledge and adhere to relevant Group Policies and Procedures, Legislation and Regulations

      • Develop and ensure safe working practices
