- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, English, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two (2) to four (4) years of professional digital content experience.
- Strong editorial judgment, comfort working within structured systems and workflows, and a collaborative mindset focused on clarity, trust, and continuous improvement.
- Experience creating content for email and social channels.
- Familiarity with content management and digital publishing tools.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work within structured workflows, approvals, and governed systems.
- Experience in photography, videography, video editing, and graphic design preferred.
- Experience in public-sector, education, financial services, or mission-driven organizations preferred.
- Familiarity with marketing automation environments from a content execution perspective preferred.
FAME is seeking a highly creative and collaborative individual to join our marketing team. The Digital Content Specialist develops, creates, prepares and is responsible for the day-to-day management of FAME's digital content across email, social media, and web channels. This role is responsible for turning approved messaging, campaign priorities, and program information into clear, accessible, and engaging content that supports FAME's marketing goals and serves Maine audiences effectively.
This position will work within a modern, Salesforce-enabled marketing environment, the Digital Content Specialist ensures content is accurate, effective, and on brand. The role serves as a key steward of content quality, tone, and accessibility, partnering closely with Marketing Campaign Officers and Digital Marketing Specialists to support integrated, data-informed marketing efforts.
This position requires strong editorial judgment, comfort working within structured systems and workflows, and a collaborative mindset focused on clarity, trust, and continuous improvement.
This full-time position offers an annual salary range of $55,000-$58,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off (13 holidays, vacation, personal days, and sick leave); health, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; tuition benefits for employees; and a 457(b) retirement plan with an 8% employer contribution.
Work Schedule and Location: Primarily based in our Augusta office, with the ability to work remotely after initial training and orientation.
