What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the establishment of an AI Lab focused on research, experimentation, and prototype development for novel AI applications
- Identify and evaluate emerging AI technologies to assess their relevance and impact on the organization
- Build and manage a high-performing team of technologists and developers in the AI domain
- Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the success of research initiatives in alignment with organizational goals
- Present research findings and recommendations to executive leadership and cross-functional teams
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in AI research, applied machine learning, and data-driven innovation, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
- Proven track record of leading research and innovation initiatives in corporate, academic, or startup environments
- Strong technical abilities for direct research and experimentation in the AI field
- Outstanding leadership and organizational skills to establish effective processes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field
- Additional certifications or coursework in R&D, technical innovation, or emerging technologies
- Experience with AI/ML tooling and frameworks such as Python, R, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- Familiarity with cloud platform configuration and modern data stacks
- Passion for staying current on AI trends and emerging technologies
