- Ownership of full-cycle signings to new association clients in target industries and verticals
- Work closely with the Vice President of Business Development to drive new association opportunities through Discovery, Qualification, Proposal and Negotiation stages to Closed Won signings
- Stay proactive in maintaining current association trends, priorities, and decision-makers
- Management of a strategic prospecting to build a strong pipeline of network and opportunities for enterprise targets
- Schedule/Lead discovery meetings, value-driven presentations, and tailored proposals
- Quarterback cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Rev Ops and Services teams to align sales strategy with delivery and maintain sales velocity
- Represent Naylor at industry events and conferences to generate new business leads
- Maintain accurate sales data and forecasting through CRM systems
- Meet or exceed annual sales targets and KPIs as defined in the business plan
- 5+ years in B2B sales or business development, ideally within media, SaaS, or associations
- Proven success in full-cycle sales and closing new logo business
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong business acumen and consultative sales ability
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with CRM platforms, sales technology, and data analysis
- Willingness to travel (~10–20% depending on location and event schedule)
- Familiarity with the association landscape or experience working with nonprofit membership organizations
- Experience selling marketing solutions, SaaS platforms, or integrated media services
- Background in complex or multi-stakeholder sales processes
Overview
Naylor Association Solutions is seeking a highly motivated, energetic individual for a Business Development focused Director role with demonstrated ability to help us expand our business within the Association marketplace. This includes meeting with and developing relationships with Association leaders, evaluating for fit and signing new business agreements with association clients. Key elements of the job include the research and monitoring of associations and industries to identify potential new association partners, as well as the aggressive pursuit of new associations and new business opportunities. The position may be based either in a Naylor Association Solutions office (DC, Gainesville, Atlanta, Winnipeg) or remotely near the region if the individual does not reside in a city with a Naylor office. The position requires moderate travel, as necessary and appropriate.
