      We are currently hiring a Director, Enterprise Data in Boston, MA (Hybrid).

      As the Director of Enterprise Data, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire data lifecycle, from collection and storage to analysis and visualization. You will lead a team of talented data scientists, analysts, and engineers to extract actionable insights from our vast datasets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, analytics, and a proven track record of implementing data-driven strategies that contribute to the achievement of business objectives.

      The Director, Enterprise Data is responsible for the strategy, people, process, and technology supporting the entire data lifecycle at Boston Beer, from collection, data pipelines and storage, to analysis and visualization. In addition, the Director, Enterprise Data is responsible for Master Data, Referential Data and Transactional Data quality to drive business processes and to deliver accurate system results. The Director, Enterprise Data will provide guidelines, expertise and drive programs to deliver Master Data Management (MDM), including data quality, data integration and Master Data Governance. The Director, Enterprise Data will lead the data quality and integrity for external data sources integration, and related solution components for Boston Beer Company including the SAP ERP/EWM solutions.

      What You'll Brew:

      • Lead development of the enterprise data and analytics strategy for Boston Beer aligned with business goals, aligned with IT vision, and adhering to cybersecurity policies
      • Lead master data and external data quality teams supporting MDM/MDG related to Material/Product, Vendor, Customer, Sales, Finance and HR business functions
      • Lead business intelligence teams to provide data architecture and strategy providing suitable logical and physical data models to enable enterprise and business function specific analytics needs of Boston Beer
      • Collaborate with cross functional leaders at Boston Beer to establish data as an asset that enables growth, and facilitates meeting operating goals
      • Boston Beer coworkers to drive engagement and provide career development
      • Work with data product owners across Boston Beer to define and implement data strategy, policies, controls and governance programs to ensure that the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure and reliable for trusted analytics across the company
      • Scoping, prioritization, planning and execution of Boston Beer Company’s Master Data Management and Data Operations strategic roadmaps
      • Facilitate/lead data governance process to create accountability and data stewardship within various business functions at Boston Beer
      • Establish metadata management, data catalogs, data standards, and best practices
      • Address issues of master data definition, ownership, metadata acquisition and data migration including data profiling, validation, clean-up and remediation, and source to target mapping to establish data as an asset for Boston Beer
      • Provide input to standards, guidelines, processes, and expertise to consistently address recurring strategic enterprise master data issues such as data convergence, data standards and data integration/synchronization.
      • Identify areas for data quality improvement and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies
      • Engaging with relevant internal Boston Beer Company business functions and external vendors in best practice sharing and effective solution delivery

      What Ingredients You'll Bring:

      Minimum Requirements

      • Minimum 7 years previous experience in master data and/or data analytics management – strategy, governance, data product ownership, quality, migration, master data management, insights
      • Demonstrated ability to establish business data as a valued asset and to drive change and influence leaders across functions
      • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferable in CPG and exposure to ERP systems, preferably SAP
      • Experience leading technology for teams to establish data architectures, analytics, and enterprise data strategy
      • Minimum of 5 years in a management role with staff and/or contractors
      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

      Preferred Requirements

      • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and leadership skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, influence and make recommendations to all levels
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with exceptional business acumen
      • Organizational skills - ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute on assigned deliverables
      • Facilitation skills - emphasis on coordinating customer relationships with internal functions/groups; ability to solve issues by coordinating across cross-functional areas

      Level: 3

      In accordance with pay transparency laws the salary range for this role if hired is $215,000 – $316,000 annually based on location and the experience level of the candidate. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for equity and an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
