Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (advanced degree preferred)

7+ years of experience in franchise development, sales, or business development (retail or rent-to-own preferred)

Proven track record of growing franchise networks and exceeding growth targets

Strong knowledge of franchise agreements, financial modeling, and compliance standards

Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Leadership experience with the ability to manage, motivate, and mentor a team

Willingness and ability to travel as needed

Develop and execute a franchise development strategy to drive sustainable growth

Identify and evaluate target markets and territories for franchise expansion

Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified franchise candidates

Lead recruitment, qualification, and onboarding of new franchisees

Serve as the main point of contact for franchise candidates throughout the process

Build and maintain relationships with current franchisees to support long-term success

Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to inform strategic priorities

Collaborate with operations, marketing, legal, and finance to ensure successful execution and alignment

Represent Aaron’s at key industry events, conferences, and franchise expos

Track KPIs and report on recruitment, conversion, and territory growth performance

Familiarity with Aaron’s business model and rent-to-own retail environment

Proficiency in CRM tools and franchise management platforms

Strong analytical thinking, strategic planning, and business development mindset

Director of Franchise Development
This salary range for this role is $126,100 to $160,000 annually*
As the Director of Franchise Development, you’ll lead the charge in expanding Aaron’s national footprint through strategic franchise growth. This role is responsible for developing and executing initiatives to recruit, onboard, and support franchise partners while identifying untapped markets and growth opportunities. You’ll serve as a key connector—building strong relationships with franchisees, driving alignment across departments, and ensuring every partnership reflects the strength of the Aaron’s brand.
