- Support the development and execution of a comprehensive health outcomes strategy to enhance the value proposition of our offerings
- Utilize data analytics and market research to identify opportunities to improve member health outcomes and drive value for sponsors
- Support cross-functional teams in the development, presentation, and evolution of related strategies, business cases, and roadmaps
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate clinically validated health intervention strategies across a variety of focus areas (e.g., diabetes, mental health, cancer, etc.) with reportable health outcome data
- Lead the execution of innovative health solutions and pilots focused on improving health outcomes at the member and organizational level
- Support the development and presentation of strategic materials to senior management
- Provide thought leadership on the healthcare data-driven intervention space, key players, and growth opportunities
- Collaborate with the partnerships and digital teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our healthcare strategy
- Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technology to inform strategic decision-making
- Support our content marketing team on creation of external thought leadership materials

- University degree. An MBA or MHA would be an asset
- 8+ years of experience in healthcare strategy, analytics, management consulting, or related roles; healthcare experience preferred
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful healthcare strategy initiatives within the insurance or healthcare industry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to internal and external stakeholders
- Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative and results-oriented approach
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- High level of self-motivation and keen sense of ‘owning’ and delivering on project deliverables
- Strong ability to rapidly gather, structure, and present data analysis with experience working with data science teams to derive actionable results
- Strong communication skills, including ability to translate complex technical issues into fundamental concepts
- Strong relationship-building skills to build effective working relationships with Segment and business unit leaders
- Highly developed financial acumen and business orientation

The opportunity
Reporting to the AVP, Healthcare Strategy, Data and Interventions, the Director, Healthcare Strategy, Health Insights and Outcomes is responsible for identifying, planning, and delivering data-driven recommendations and initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of Manulife members. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, strong ability to leverage analytics to drive recommendations, and a passion for delivering impactful solutions.
Fostering a deep partnership with enterprise data, analytics, marketing, product and technology teams, you will be the business lead for related collaborations, execution of strategic partnerships and cross-enterprise, cross-functional initiatives contributing to improved health outcomes.

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Salary range is expected to be between
$103,050.00 CAD - $185,490.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
