- Lead the policy development and implementation of key EOHHS initiatives, maintaining subject matter expertise on a broad range of relevant state policy issues.
- Prepare and present policy analyses, summaries, and formal recommendations to the Undersecretary for Health, senior EOHHS leadership team, and agency heads.
- Support agencies in developing priority reports, policy documents, and data briefs.
- Participate in or facilitate meetings and forums with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with EOHHS agency leadership and staff to support and promote cross-agency collaboration.
- Rapidly assimilate complicated technical, regulatory, and organizational details unique to each project area.
- Efficiently allocate personal efforts and team resources in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks under time constraints; comfortable owning multiple workstreams with finite executive direction.
- Strong problem-solving orientation and track record of exercising initiative, discretion, and judgment in managing high-profile projects.
- Experience managing a diverse team in a matrixed environment to address cross-functional needs and goals.
- Passion for public service and commitment to cultivating a diverse, inclusive, and supportive environment.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with operations, budgeting, and/or contract management, ideally within a public sector organization.
!*!The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) seeks an experienced and collaborative Director of Health Policy & Strategic Initiatives to oversee a portfolio of high-priority, inter-departmental health policy initiatives. You will play an integral role in driving the Secretariat’s health policy priorities forward, collaborating with agency heads and EOHHS leadership to advance aligned policy development and strategy, implementing new initiatives, cross-agency coordination, and fulfilling other urgent Secretariat priorities. Your leadership will directly impact the lives of residents of the Commonwealth and increase the efficiency and integrity of the provision of public services. You will report to the Undersecretary for Health and work collaboratively with the Secretary’s leadership team and EOHHS agency heads.

!*!MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have at least (A) six (6) years of full-time or, equivalent part-time, professional, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in business administration, business management, public administration, public management, clinical administration or clinical management of which (B) at least two (2) years must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. A certificate in a relevant or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required (A) experience.
II. A Bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the required (A) experience.
III. A Graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) years of the required (A) experience.
IV. A Doctorate degree in a related field may be substituted for four (4) years of the required (A) experience.
