- Master's degree in education or management-related field from an accredited college or university
- Texas administrator's or mid-management certificate
- T-TESS certification or willing to obtain
- Knowledge of the selection, training and supervision of personnel
- Knowledge of wage and salary, benefits and employee programs preferred
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Five years successful administrative experience or an equivalent amount of human resources experience in the private sector
- Human Resources experience preferred
- Work with department managers and staff to define personnel needs for non-exempt staff
- Assist the HR department, principals, and hiring managers to recruit and hire exempt staff
- Demonstrate an understanding of needs of the various departments through actions and decisions
- Facilitate the district recruitment program
- Manage the district's online application system
- Collaboratively support the district's First Year Teacher Program
- Oversee the district's risk management program
- Ensure that personnel functions contribute to the attainment of district mission, vision and goals
- Collaboratively prepare and deliver professional development sessions on personnel related topics to teachers, principals, newly hired staff, student teachers and substitutes
- Stay abreast of current research, best practices and policy changes that impact human resources
- Assist in making recommendations regarding policies and procedures for salary administration, leave, workers' compensation and other personnel functions of the district
- Ensure that the district is represented in a positive and professional manner
- Demonstrate high expectations for faculty and staff
- Attend regular meetings of the school board
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum $96,691 Annual
- Midpoint $116,493 Annual
- Maximum $136,295 Annual
- Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
- Motion: Frequent walking
- Lifting: Frequent light lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (less than 15 pounds); occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling (up to 50 pounds)
- Environment: Work inside and outside, regular exposure to noise and the elements

Position: Director of Human Resources
Primary Purpose:
Assist in the management of the district human resources functions to ensure legally sound and effective personnel management practices. Participate in the development and implementation of sound personnel programs to include employee recruitment and staffing, communication and risk management programs. Assist in the interpretation and recommendation of personnel policies and guidelines for the district.

Salary:
Administrative Pay Grade 4, 12-Duty Months
The district contributes $400/monthly to the cost of "employee-only" health insurance, which is $175/monthly greater than the state required amount of $225/monthly.
