What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead and mentor a team of epidemiologists in designing and implementing studies using real-world data for product safety and effectiveness
- Conduct post-approval safety studies and evaluate the benefit-risk balance of therapies
- Collaborate across therapeutic areas and with cross-functional teams to inform strategic business decisions
- Develop and optimize analytic tools for high-quality research delivery
- Contribute to department strategy and engage in talent and culture initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Doctorate degree and 4 years of scientific experience, or Master's degree and 8 years, or Bachelor's degree and 10 years of scientific experience
- At least 4 years of experience directly managing people or leading teams, projects, or programs
- Strong scientific contribution with experience in observational research
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams on non-interventional research
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Doctorate in Epidemiology or a related field with high observational research content
- Experience in designing and executing observational research studies in a Pharmaceutical or Public Health setting
- Background in research supporting drug development
- Familiarity with observational research project planning and management
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
