      The Director of Player Development is a key contributor within the Women's Basketball staff and is responsible for assisting with numerous programs/areas that contribute to the success of current student-athletes.

      About the Work Unit

      Vanderbilt University’s Athletics Department prepares student-athletes to become leaders and champions in life by placing the highest values on integrity, character, sportsmanship and victory. Vanderbilt is a charter member of the Southeastern Conference and is the conference's only private school. The university fields 17 varsity teams (6 men's teams and 11 women's teams), 15 of which compete in the Southeastern Conference.

      Duties and Responsibilities
      1. Work with assigned areas to manage the internal functions that service current student-athletes and contribute to their overall success
      2. Serve as the women's basketball liaison to assigned support areas within the Athletics Department
      3. Assist with recruiting needs as requested, including but not limited to official and unofficial visits
      4. Represent the women's basketball program and Vanderbilt Athletic Department in a professional manner at all times
      5. Comply with NCAA and SEC rules and regulations
      6. Other duties as assigned by the Head Women's Basketball Coach

      Qualifications

      • A Bachelor’s degree is necessary.
      • Prior college and/or professional basketball experience is necessary.
      • Excellent communication skills is necessary.
