What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead and direct sales strategies for the Pet Food Business to achieve financial and market share objectives
- Oversee direct and broker sales teams to execute customer business plans aligned with company strategy
- Develop relationships with senior management and cross-functional teams to solve complex problems
- Conduct regular market visits to assess store conditions, monitor competition, and communicate findings
- Manage sales forecasting and ensure accuracy in team system inputs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- College degree
- Minimum 10 years of increasing responsibility in the consumer packaged goods industry, including 5 years in sales
- 2 or more years of management experience, preferably with Broker management experience
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with experience with syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen)
- Strong strategic, analytic, and leadership skills with effective administrative and financial management capabilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with major retailers such as Wakefern, Giant Eagle, Ahold/Delhaize, Tops/Price, and Harris Teeter
- Proven ability to manage a large geographic area with multiple customers
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and spoken)
- Experience in field sales/account management
