- Provide individual clinical assessment, psychological treatment, and case management for athletes
- Assess and respond to crises with individuals and groups within the organization
- Serve as a member of leadership team responsible for guiding and influencing the organization around behavioral health and wellness
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team within the organization department in the management of injury and other behavioral health concerns
- Continue to build support network with external providers, hospitals, and local psychiatrists
- Assist in the development and implementation of athlete programming for leadership, development, personal growth, and health and wellness
- Establish relationships with MLSE stakeholders and external partners
- Enhance awareness of mental health issues impacting athletes
- Provide individual and team performance consultation
- Remain available for coach and front office consultation
- Assist in the assessment of draft prospects
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology
- Licensed or license-eligible in the province of Ontario as a psychologist
- Clinical experience in sport, higher education, or other related setting
- Demonstrated ability to provide treatment and/or consultation that spans the spectrum of care for athletes ranging from debilitating emotional distress to optimization of performance
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively, respectfully and appropriately with diverse populations in the organization
- Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication
- Administrative leadership experience in an NCAA Division I athletic program
- Advanced training in sport psychology (e.g., Association for Applied Sport Psychology Certified Consultant, member of the USOC sport psychology registry, APA Division 47 Fellow Status) preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of unique aspects of athlete population
- Knowledge and understanding of working with diverse and multicultural populations

Job Description
The Director of Wellness is the clinical and mental performance leader for the Toronto Raptors. Reporting to the General Manager, the Director is responsible for the mental health and performance of players, coaches, and staff. In addition to these primary responsibilities, the Director will assist with the management of organizational and employee behavioral health issues, contribute to player development, partner with sports medicine in the management of injuries, and managing the mental health and performance for the Raptors 905.
