      The Director People Business Partner will support the organization’s Enabling Functions (Technology; Finance & Operations; Communications; Strategy and Chief of Staff Office) as it relates to People initiatives, strategies and programs to help drive business results at one of the top media related organizations, through delivery and facilitation of People best practices and procedures. Under the guidance of the SVP People, Enabling Functions, the Director, People Business Partner will deliver operational, strategic and consultative assistance to internal client groups, within the US & International Leadership. The role works within a Global People Business Partner team.The ideal candidate will be willing and able to roll up their sleeves and “problem-solve” anything that comes their way. Based on the needs of our team and clients, we are constantly evolving how we work and who we work with.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Drive key People/HR initiatives including but not limited to leadership coaching, recruitment and retention strategies, performance management, compensation strategies, succession planning, learning and development, career pathing, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement and employee communication.

      • Partner/collaborate with global business leaders and other executives across Conde Nast to align and execute HR strategies in support of business initiatives.

      • Develop and implement change management and transformation plans.

      • Manage complex employee relations issues including organizational and structural changes.

      • Work with business leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities; act as an employee advocate; help drive various corporate and division business initiatives. Be a champion of our culture, standards and practices.

      • Advocate and offer guidance and coaching to employees concerning work-related issues and work to resolve issues in a proactive and positive manner.

      • Own and work closely with cross-functional partners and SMEs on employee related matters such as contract negotiations, investigations, compensation, L&D, HR Operations, etc.

      • Provide interpretation of HR policies, practices and procedures to employees and managers.

      • Manage an HR Coordinator in the market, providing direction and identifying development and engagement opportunities that support and encourage high performance.

      Desired Skills and Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s Degree

      • Minimum 7 years professional level HR experience, including HR Business Partner experience

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

      • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal guidance or direct supervision

      • Collaborative mindset and ability to navigate multiple stakeholders and work in a globally matrixed environment

      • Strong knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets and Powerpoint or Google Slides

      • Consultative orientation with an ability to resolve complex problems with creative solutions while also leveraging data to tell a compelling story

      • Process and detail oriented, including strong organization, time management and prioritization skills

      • Demonstrated ability to understand the clients' business and develop both strategic and tactical solutions to tangible business challenges

      • Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment

      • Ability to multi-task and work well under time constraints

      • Able to present to a large-scale audience

      • Past success leading and managing both exempt and nonexempt level staff

      The expected base salary range for this position is from $145K - $158K. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
