      A DAY IN THE LIFE

      This position leads the scheduling function within the project controls organization. Responsible for the development, implementation, oversight, and continuous improvement of scheduling processes, tools, and standards for use across all projects and business units. Ensures that project schedules are accurate, realistic, and aligned with project objectives, enabling project managers and project teams to accurately and consistently manage scope, schedule, and budget. Principally responsible for the implementation of robust scheduling in line with industry best practices across all projects including earned value management, schedule management, change management, project forecasting, project management fundamentals, and the management and talent development for the scheduling team behind those responsibilities. Provides leadership and mentorship to schedulers and collaborates with project teams to support successful project delivery.

      • Establishes and implements Blattner-wide strategies that have mid-term (3 years or less) impact on business results.
      • Provides vision, innovation, and ideas in the effective delivery of projects to support operational growth and help Blattner achieve its Desired End States.
      • Leads the scheduling department and directly or indirectly manages all back-office scheduling team members for earned value management, scheduling, issues and change management, and claims analysis functions.
      • Defines roles and responsibilities, job duties, key performance indices, workflow, technical requirements, and efficiencies necessary to effectively deliver project scheduling functions.
      • Directs the development and implementation of policy and standard operating procedures for the organization, including process workflows, integrations, interfaces, systems, and external relationships necessary for maximum impact and effectiveness of scheduling, challenging obsolete practices, questioning accepted truths, and eliminating non-value-added processes all for the purpose of enhancing project and company performance.
      • Ensures that project teams have accurate data and reports necessary to know and understand productivity, schedule performance, trends, and forecasts in real time as needed to make good, data-driven decisions.


      WHAT YOU'LL NEED
      • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required.
      • 10 or more years of experience in construction project scheduling, including 7 or more years in a leadership role managing teams.
      • This position requires a minimum of 50% travel.

      $178,151.00 - $258,319.00 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
