What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct disease surveillance, case investigations, and contact tracing for reportable and notifiable diseases
- Provide expert guidance to healthcare providers and public health partners on disease control measures
- Maintain accurate documentation and manage electronic surveillance systems for effective data tracking
- Deliver health education and outreach to individuals and organizations to promote disease prevention
- Serve as the divisional representative on-call during after-hours and weekends for emergency responses
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in public health, health education, or a related field
- One (1) year of relevant experience in public health
- Must have a valid state driver's license and reliable means of transportation
- Ability to respond to infectious disease emergencies promptly on a 24/7 basis
- Clearances required: Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Record History, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with epidemiological research and data analysis
- Knowledge of communicable diseases and public health interventions
- Strong verbal communication skills and experience conducting interviews
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications for data management
- Ability to work independently and manage complex workloads
